Listed here are asthma management recommendations from many different countries that are free of pharmaceutical industry sponsorship. More international guidelines for children which were not sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry will be added to the ISAAC website as they become available. These guidelines represent the asthma relevant German and German speaking (Switzerland) societies such as the German Society of Pediatrics, the Society for Pediatric Pulmonology, The Working Group Asthma Education etc. Thus they are based on a broad consensus among these groups.
Diese Richtlinien repräsentieren die Asthma-relevanten deutschen und deutschsprachigen (Österreich, Schweiz) Gesellschaften wie u.a. die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kinder- und Jugendmedizin (DGKJ), die Gesellschaft für Pädiatrische Pneumologie e.V. (GPP) und die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Asthmaschulung im Kindes- und Jugendalter e.V. Entsprechend beruhen sie auf einem breiten Konsens zwischen diesen Gruppen.

Paediatric Society of NZ (PSNZ) asthma guidelines. These guidelines were prepared by the Paediatric Society of New Zealand, the multidisciplinary society for paediatric health professionals. The work was supported by a grant from the Ministry of Health, and the guidelines published in 2005. They are based on the evidence-based Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) guidelines, modified for New Zealand. Consensus Statement on the Management of Paediatric Asthma. Update 2007 [english]. The Spanish guidelines for asthma management in childhood are a consensus statement of all Spanish paediatric societies related to asthma in children: primary care paediatricians, paediatric pulmonologists and allergists and emergency paediatricians. A first version of the document elaborated by the combined task force was published in 2006. The updated version, which is the one accesed by this link, was published in 2007 (Spanish version) and 2008 (English version). The work was supported by the involved societies.

La guía Española para el tratamiento del asma en la infancia es un consenso de todas las sociedades pediátricas Españolas que tienen alguna relación con el asma del niño: pediatras de atención primaria; neumólogos y alergólogos pediatras; y pediatras de urgencias. Una primera versión de esta guía, elaborada por un grupo de trabajo combinado, se publicó en 2006. La versión actualizada, que es a la que se accede desde este enlace, se publicó en 2007 (versión Española) y 2008 (versión Inglesa). El trabajo fue apoyado y financiado a través de las sociedades involucradas.

Sultanate of Oman
Guidelines for the Management of Asthma 2009. This is the second edition of the National Asthma Management Guidelines in Oman covering both adults and children. They were jointly developed by members from Oman Respiratory Society and Oman Family & Community Medicine Society under the Umbrella of Oman Medical Association and were adopted by Ministry of Health. They were based on GINA guidelines taking into account local health system issues.

Eczema resources at NHS Evidence. Each year NHS Evidence – skin disorders undertakes an annual evidence update on atopic eczema. The update includes new guidelines and new systematic reviews published in the preceding year, and involves a detailed commentary of the clinical implications of the new evidence by Hywel Williams and other colleagues
NICE Guidance on management of atopic eczema in children from birth up to the age of 12 years. NICE Guidelines are internationally recognised as some of the best developed guidelines in the world. NICE stands for the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence and is funded by the UK National Health Service. These guidelines on the management of atopic eczema in children from birth up to the age of 12 years were issued in December 2007 and the full content of the guidelines is free in the public domain through the above link. Although directed at UK healthcare professionals, most of the findings will be directly applicable to all countries in the world.
GREAT database The Global Resource for Eczema Trials (GREAT) is an international collection of all randomized controlled trials published since the year 2000 that is free for anyone to use.
