ISAAC findings in children aged 14 years: an overview.

Javier Mallol, Tadd Clayton, Innes Asher, Hywel Williams, Richard Beasley.

Abstract: The International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC) is being undertaken in the main regions of the world in order to determine key aspects concerning the prevalence and severity of symptoms related to asthma, rhinitis, and eczema. Phase I showed large variations in the prevalence of these conditions among participating centers and countries. ISAAC has provided a worldwide basis for future studies on the influence of different factors on the observed variations in the prevalence and severity or the assessed diseases in children.
